Few time ago I read this post at Mónica Parga’s blog Miss at la Playa. At “How to display clothes in online stores in an original way” she makes a compilation of online fashion stores that stand out from the mass by giving a twist to the images, making them look like perfect Pinterest images. The biggest ones are Zara with their ‘People’ and ‘Pictures’ editorials – besides their seasonal lookbook, J Crew, Equipment, COS, & Other Stories,…
On the same blog I read a similar post about the & Other Stories lookbook, one of my top 10 favorite brands (it is under the H&M group umbrella, as well as is COS) which displays really beautiful pictures for their lookbook and product detail images. Every time I go into their website I see new images and I can’t resist to pin them.
After this brief thought, my conclusion is that editorial-like photography for online shops is a really good way to move traffic from Pinterest images to their website ergo a way to maximize income and giving a more curated image. Proven that this online business strategy is working.
Love to hear from you!
I didn’t receive any compensation from any of the brands mentioned avobe
